The therm app vehicle mount is very easy to setup and put together, starting with this introduction video first.

Now you want to place your Therm app unit inside the rain cover box, line up the screw hole with the pan/tilt unit ¼ inch screw and tighten the two units together sandwiching the bottom of the rain box.
The OTG cable is next, some are orientated with a red or black end, make sure you test in advance that the cable is the correct way round, feed it into the underside and plug into your therm app
If there is no hole in the pan/tilt unit where the other cable hole lines up then you will have to mark the place where the hole should go, then take apart and drill it out big enough to pass the cable through. Then put back together.
Now place your therm app in a good location on the roof of your vehicle, some people like to place in front so they know the exact orientation of the camera. Now find a good rout for the cable into the vehicle without the worry of damaging the cable, or ripping it out the therm app if you open the door. A good idea for the cable rout would be through the bonnet like in this photo !
A good location I find, is the sun visor for the android note pad, its not directly in your way and the cable doesn’t have to run a long way, shorter cable = less lag. Now test it and have fun spotting from the comfort of your seat, but please do not drive while watching the therm app while on public roads.
Lets get the easy part out the way first, glue 4 magnets to the underside of the pan/tilt unit, making sure that you keep the magnets on the reassess part of the plastic, that way you wont scratch your vehicle with the magnets, or you can cover the magnets with felt. Leave to dry !
